Killarney/Carlow natives Fake Friends have just announced a special hometown show at the Gleneagle INEC Club, Killarney on Sunday December 22nd 2024. Following the release of their latest single ‘Better’ the band will be joined by some special guests for a once off hometown show – the first time the band have ever played in Kerry.

Fake Friends are fresh from the release of their debut single ‘Maybe’ in March of this year and the follow up ‘Girlfriend’, released in July. They have had extensive national airplay on both singles appearing twice on the RTE recommends list and also airplay on Today FM, RTE 2FM, Spin 103.8, iRadio, Radio Kerry amongst many others. They played to a sold-out Whelan’s in Dunlin in July 2023.

They have recently signed a €300,000 recording contract with Song City Records and AMA Music agency and have just announced a special hometown show at the Gleneagle INEC Club, Killarney, wrapping up what has been a very successful first year for the band.

“We are so proud of this single” says Cathal Flaherty. “It has been the one song we have looked forward to people hearing the most since our formation and we can’t wait to have this out to the world. I think many people will resonate with it as much as we do”.
